## Beyond a founders $975M AI Twin Bombshell… Who Else Is Selling Their Digital Soul?

Khaby just dropped the biggest flex in creator history — selling his company (and basically his face, voice, mannerisms, and whole vibe) to Rich Sparkle Holdings for ~$975 million in stock. The deal hands them exclusive rights to build a full AI digital twin that can livestream, sell products 24/7, and speak languages Khaby doesn’t even know. Non-stop global commerce, no sleep required. But he’s not the only one cashing in on their digital clone: Scott Jacqmein (actor): Licensed his likeness to TikTok via an agency for a measly one-time $750 + travel. Now his AI avatar is all over TikTok and YouTube ads pushing supplements, horoscopes, and random stuff — sometimes in languages he doesn’t speak. He’s publicly said he regrets it. No royalties, zero control. Oof.

Sunny Leone (Bollywood star/entrepreneur): One of the first big Indian celebs to officially launch her AI twin with Kamoto.ai back in early 2024. It’s built for fan chats, brand deals, and she even did a dual human + AI role in an AI-generated movie (Kaur vs Kore). Straight-up licensed her likeness for interactive use. Caryn Marjorie (Snapchat influencer): In 2023 she teamed with Forever Voices to create CarynAI — a “virtual girlfriend” fans could chat (and more) with for $1/minute. It made bank early on but got messy. She later sold/transitioned the rights to BanterAI. Plenty of lesser-known actors have quietly licensed their faces to TikTok’s avatar system for cheap one-time fees, ending up as AI ad puppets with no ongoing pay. Others like Deepak Chopra, Reid Hoffman, or Andy Cohen have played with their own AI versions for meetings or apps — but those are usually self-controlled, not sold off. (The old Bruce Willis “sold his face to Deepcake” stories? Mostly debunked — it was a limited one-off project, not a full rights sale.) Khaby’s deal is still on another level because of the scale and how broad the rights transfer is. The rest of the space is wild west right now: lowball deals, regret stories, and rapid tech outpacing contracts. Talent agencies (CAA etc.) are jumping in to structure these better, but control + royalties remain the big headaches. Creator economy just got a new meta: your digital twin might make more money than you while you sleep… or haunt you in ads you hate. Would you sell rights to your AI twin? For how much?
